Flour Haven

We absolutely loved the breakfast from here! We got the flour haven pancakes and flour-some crepe with jam, as well as a caramel latte. When I went, they were installing umbrellas for their outside seating and they were still getting their inside seating ready. Both indoor and outdoor seating was limited to a few tables. There's really nothing else like this restaurant in this area. We're very happy they're here!

Great service and coffee! The mandazi flour puff was delicious, kind of like a donut hole or beignet. I had never had one before and they're really good. Highly recommend!

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Flour Haven, a hidden gem in East Oakland! The crepes were a delightful treat, and the Chicken Flour Bowl was simply outstanding. I can't wait to return for more of these delicious offerings!

This place is great! Ordered a crepe and a cup of coffee which were both good. Best crepe I've had in a while. Super fresh fruit and the batter was warm and delicious. The service is fast and friendly. Highly recommend for a post hike meal.

My family had breakfast here and it was delicious. Highly recommend both the sweet and savory crepes. The ice cream crepe was my fave!! They do not skimp on portions. We left with our bellies happy and full! Will be back to try other menu options- pizza!!

Food is delicious :) Service is very friendly! Plenty of street parking as others have mentioned. I live in the neighborhood and was so happy to see this place open up. Great place to grab a nice meal, something sweet, or something tasty to drink. Highly recommend!

I searched for a simple brunch spot in the area near the Oakland zoo and discovered this gem! I received immediate friendliness from the staff. Even though I arrived before they were open, I was offered a look at the menu and early service. While there wasn’t an option to dine inside, the tables and chairs and umbrella on the patio were perfectly inviting. We enjoyed the egg dumplings, a sweet crepe, a savory crepe, a chai latte, and an apple juice. Portions were big, food was delicious, service was excellent, and setting was just right for catching up with an old friend. We weren’t in a hurry, but I imagine this is an easy spot for pick-up picnics to bring to nearby parks or the zoo. I wish the quaint ambiance were mirrored in the neighboring businesses or residences; Flour Haven is a diamond in the rough. I am so happy to support this family-owned business. As a local, responsible, community-centered operation with heart, it deserves to thrive with quality food and exceptional service! We’ll be back!
